LSI - Integrated Systems Laboratory

Short description:
The former Department of Digital Systems of the Technical University of Madrid, that was a subsection of the National Center for Microelectronics (National Research Council) from 1985 to 1987, was constituted in 1988 as the Laboratory for Integrated Systems (LSI), within the Department of Electronics Engineering (Technical University of Madrid). Activities of this Laboratory actually started in 1981, being initially on developing digital architectures to support real-time speech processing applications. Nowadays research continues on digital architectures, specially for communication systems. Other research fields are VLSI design and test or design and tools for embedded systems.

The Integrated Systems Laboratory (Laboratorio de Sistemas Integrados) is one of the research groups of the Department of Electronics Engineering (DIE) of the Technical University of Madrid.

Its main areas of interest are:

  • Analog and Digital Circuits
  • Microprocessors
  • Microelectronics
  • CAD for Electronic Design
  • High Speed Electronics
